How’s your walk with Jesus? This is a question that you’ve probably asked and been asked. In this week’s message, we’re going to look at three key building blocks to establishing a vibrant relationship with Jesus. Join us for our next installment in our study of the Gospel of John as we look at John 8:48-59.

Taking a person at their word is sometimes hard to do. I remember repelling for the first time and having to trust the guide that the rope was in good shape and could hold my weight as I backed over the edge. We’re not likely to take someone’s word for it without an abiding confidence that they know what they’re talking about. When Jesus speaks, we need to remember that we’re hearing from the Author of life, the One who was there at the beginning and who will be there at the end. So when Jesus tells us where we can find life, we can, we should, and we must take him at his word, Join us Sunday morning as we continue in our study of John’s gospel with John 8:12-30.

As we wrap up our series in John 5-7, we come to a passage that reminds us of the importance of deciding what to do with Jesus. In John 7:25-52, we find much confusion stemming from this question. Similar confusion remains today, and it’s my prayer that this sermon will impress upon the unbeliever the urgency of this decision while encouraging the believer to live daily in light of the decision we’ve made.
